Sump Alarm high water alarms are rugged indoor and outdoor rated wireless products for level detection. When pumps have a problem - any problem - it results in the water level rising. This is true of sump pumps, septic systems, lift stations, grinder pumps, and pool sumps. Sump Alarm's patented WiFi Enabled product lines have many features, options, and variations. Please use this guide to find the selections that are the right fit for your home or project. Protect your home and basement from water damage by getting the advanced notice before you have an expensive mess on your hands. Patent No.: US 10,699,551 B1 Precision Probes For use in clear water such as sump pumps, pool pumps, and rain water Makes use of the conducvity of the water Operates on very safe low voltage DC Probes detect water level to within 1/4" and introduce no moving parts into the sump that can interfere with the operations of the pumps float Do not work well in septic systems, grinder pumps, and sumps that have floating debris Probes are available in three cord lengths (the distance between the head unit and the metal rods). The options are 10 feet, 16 feet, and 30 feet. Becuase the probes are small, they often pass through a conduit without removing them from the alarm Read more Float Switch The float switch works in any environment, including grinder pumps and septic systems, sump pumps, pool pumps, etc. The water level needs to move about 8-10" in order for the float switch to activate, as opposed to 1/4" with the probes The float switch must be anchored to the pump discharge pipe, and rotates around the anchor point (detailed in the instructions) User has to ensure that the float switch from the high water alarm is mounted not to interfere with the operation of the pump Float switches are available in 4 cord lengths (the distance from the head unit to the red float switch). The options are 10 ft, 16 ft, 33 ft, and 100 ft The cord must be unwired internal to the head unit to be pulled through a conduit if necessary Read more The Value of a "Power On" Light The power on light adds a 1" white led indictor to the face of the unit and tells you at a glance if power is on the alarm (and the pump). If the unit is mounted outdoors, there is no need go out in the rain If the unit stops reporting for any reason, the user receives a notification that states "Your Sump Alarm Unit XXXX has stopped reporting due to loss of power or internet" This could be a Wi-Fi or Internet Issue, or perhaps the pump tripped the breaker The additional power light demonstrates at a glance if the Sump Alarm has power, and thus if the pump has power There is no more need for a dedicated alarm circuit with any Wi-Fi enabled alarm, the white light helps you troubleshoot faster When your at work asking your spouse "Honey is the white light on?" may be faster and easier than "Honey is the breaker tripped?" If the unit is mounted outdoors, there is no need go out in the rain Read more WiFi Connectivity - Connecting your Sump Alarm to your Home Network To recieve notifications, the Sump Alarm needs to be connected to a local 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi network. A YouTube video overviews the entire process. The steps are as follows. Once the unit is your home it will broadcast a network called "SumpAlarm" On a cell phone, tablet, or PC, connect to the SumpAlarm network. Type 10.10.100.254 in the address bar of any browser, and the page to the right will open. Click on "Join a WiFi Network" on the left menu of the screen SCAN for your network. It will show you the networks in the area and their signal strength. Choose One. Type in the password, and follow the prompts to reset the unit - your done with the connection process. The unit will remember these wireless settings if the power goes out. Read more Register on the Website The configuration in the website tells the system how to alert you in any given circumstance. INNOVATIVE WATER ALARM is the first outdoor wifi water leak detector. IP67-rated with gasketed enclosure and weatherproof components, Sump Alarm Water Alarm is ideal for lift stations, grinder pumps and pool sumps.

FREE EMAIL ALERTS from Sump Alarm Smart Water Sensor keep you informed from anywhere in the world. An optional monthly/yearly subscription service sends text and/or voice notices for the liquid level alarm.
Server-side backup of the water alarm detector alerts you to loss of power or internet. An LED light and a 90 db horn deliver visual and audible alerts from the moisture sensor.
Works great, appears to be of high quality and quality control. The audible alarm should be louder even though an alarm is sent by email, text and voice! There is no way to silence the alarm until the over flow warning is corrected. The device can be unplugged if the alarm is too annoying. Better than an old fashion audible alarm located at the pump. Better yet, installed it inside the house for better protection against moisture which caused 2 previous audible claxon horns to fail.Edit from my review of their other product the Level Sense and everything that happened since thenAwful company. Maybe the product works well for you if you don't have any problems out of the box but heaven help you if you have to contact customer service and don't like 100% of what they do.My original encounter with this product was with their WiFi enabled Sump Alarm. Instead of including a short page of instructions with the product detailing how to setup the WiFi part of the product they make you go to a web page instead, and the webpage is a redirect to a YouTube video. The Sump Alarm is a fairly industrial style product and the kind of people you'd think this product would be aimed at don't want to sit and watch a 10 minute video they just want a short page of instructions they can follow, I didn't want to watch a video, I wanted a short set of instructions, and I told them that the video was BS. This is where I first went wrong. The second problem I had with the Sump Alarm is it flat out didn't work. Well to be more specific it would stop working a short time after plugging it in, 5-10 minutes after. For a short while after powering up the unit would detect liquid just fine but would somehow freeze and if the unit was not alarming when this happened it would never alarm again, and if the unit was alarming when this happened it would continue to alarm until the unit was unplugged. Regardless of whether it was in the short working window it never actually sent me notifications of alarms to my phone but that didn't matter much as the primary function of detecting high liquid levels was completely broken.Products that do not perform their primary function do not get 5 star reviews, they get 1 star reviews, because they don't work.To their credit when I tried to contact them over the weekend they actually did respond to me late on a sunday night and arranged to call me the next day however I decided to return the Sump Alarm as frankly there's nothing really user serviceable about it. It has a power plug on one end and a pair of electronic probes on the other, when you short the probes the alarm should sound in 5 seconds, there's no buttons, no dials or anything else that can really be used to troubleshoot. I was later told they might have asked me to go inside the unit and see if anything was loose but the issue wasn't something related to loose wiring, it was more like a defective timer that failed after a few minutes, since it would work 100% of the time for the first few minutes after plugging it in, unplugging something and plugging it back in doesn't fix loose connections it fixes circuits that have locked up.The device was faulty, I hated the setup instructions, and the review I left for it reflected that.I still needed a sump alarm and really wanted to get remote notifications however and it seems like Sump Alarm Inc is the only game in town for that so I decided to try their Level Sense PRO instead. My sump had been open for 4 days at this point waiting on the new sump alarm and I really wanted to get it closed so I paid to overnight this so I could get things going and get the sump buttoned back up. After I had already purchased this and the product was already on the way the company sent me an email that I didn't see saying they didn't care for my feedback on their video and the review for their faulty product and stated they didn't want me to buy their other products, which at this point was too late.Additionally they decided to go and search my name in search engines because... I don't know why? It's really creepy to go search for people this way. They didn't find much since I don't have much of a social media presence but they did find some now defunct organization that somehow got mistakenly linked to me a number of years ago and that I still deal with unwanted contact about, and decided due to all of this they were going to shut down my account on the cloud service that this product relies on to send notifications. Is there any good reason for them to be looking me up online?Ironically the time all of this was having it seems like the cloud service itself had some fatal database error and was unavailable for any customers for several hours Tuesday night. I wonder how often that happens. They claimed I seemed frustrated and was taking my frustrations out on them and didn't want a customer like that, a customer who was in fact frustrated because of frustrating instructions, complete failure of a product, and now being told he had to return yet another item and order another one again leaving the sump open even longer because they can't handle an upset customer.I demanded an apology for their creepy stalker like behavior and to have my service reinstated on this product and even offered to adjust my original review of the Sump Alarm but instead they decided to call me and tell me what an awful customer and person I was and how nobody wanted to deal with me.Neat.After I took great offense to this and hung up and ceased all communications with them I guess they realized they were actually in the wrong as they sent a refund greater than the cost of this item plus the expedited shipping I paid for but I don't want a few measly extra dollars I wanted a WiFi sump alarm that worked.I am very pleased with this product. I served in the Army and this product really demonstrates rugged, military grade appearance compared to devices that I saw while serving. Not that we had any sump pump alarms, but you get the idea as a comparison in craftsmanship. It looks like a true american made product. The install wasn't that difficult, make sure that you are careful tightening the screws with a power drill, as the instructions mention that it's easy to strip the threading of the Phillips head. It may be best to use the instructions recommended screw size and just switch it with a Torque bit head for the screws. That's common with most electronics and mounts though. Otherwise, Awesome product!!!Initially hick-up setting up WiFi interface . . . kept on sending message not communicating properly. And, initial call into help line . . . not helpful. Second time calling into help line did the trick. The individual on the second go around was very helpful and with some work cleared up the WiFi problem.I work for a shellfish company and we needed to monitor water levels at our hatchery. Other companies that offer commercial products for water level management have expensive support and product plans but the units we got from sump alarm are well built and super easy to setup and install. It's great to have something off the shelf that works so seamlessly. I even contacted Sump Alarm and their customer support is great and talked me through how to wire their alarm box to other switches like a flow paddle switch. We have saved countless hours and dollars thanks to these units. Great product! The alarm was easy to install and is working great. You can have them email you for free whenever the power goes out to the alarm, if wifi is disconnected to the alarm or when the water level rises above your set point so you never really have to worry about whether the alarm is actually working properly. For a small fee of $1 a month (I just paid for a full year up front) they will send you a text and voicemail as well but it's not required if you are happy with the free emails. I thought the price of the alarm was very reasonable for the peace of mind it gives me and I am very happy with the product. I just bought one of those pass-through extension cords to plug it in since my sump pump is plugged into a single outlet. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JRLSPRW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)Excellent and when I commissioned the installed product it worked flawlessly. The minor irritation was that the website has some funky issues in setting the time delay for follow-up alerts. The time selection boxes indicate "15 minutes minimum", but I could only set a minimum of one hour. Not a big deal, but I'd like to have a very short time duration available to fully commission the system without having to let it run for hours to achieve the a couple repeat cycles. One of the things I did like was the notification system, and the simple "OK xxxxxx" to cancel the repeating of an alert. The sensor completely under water and alarm doesn’t sound. Tested in a cup of water and alarm goes off but not in the ground water. Contacted manufacturer and say they have never had an issue. For 270 bucks I expected a quality product. Now I just have a flooded basement with no alarm. Also have to pay for text and voicemail messages
