I am a new Medical Laboratory Technician, ASCP, AMT Certified. This text was a huge help in preparation for the BOC exam. Although the exam covered very little in the way of Parasitology, the text was very useful when it came to providing multiple images for differentiation. I have found that many texts use the same 'stock' images across the board and do not give the reader a view of how different organisms may present. My community college Medical Microbiology course was 'bare-bones', euphemistically speaking, and covered neither this topic, nor Mycology. These really should be taught in separate courses, and this book would be an excellent candidate for a required primary textbook in Parasitology!
