There is a whole series of these Awesome Asian Animal books. My 2nd grade son is obsessed with Asian Animals so we have all of them. They are non-fiction books with lots of facts about the animal. I would say these books would be good for kids ready at about a 3rd grade reading level independently. Since they are non-fiction, they have vocabulary that may be challenging for younger children. However, if you have a child who is interested in animals, these books are fantastic with great pictures of the animals and lots of interesting facts!
