The book is bought as used, but appears not to have been read at all. A bargain!Titus Livius Patavinus or Livy as he came to be known is famed for his history of early Rome through the reign of Augustus in Livy's time. I was pleased to find this work in an Easton Press Collector's Edition since it comes in the signature leather binding, with gilt edges, decorative motifs in gilt, satin ribbon page marker, and moire endleaves. In addition there are illustrations in this edition as well. The font is the right size for reading, neither too large nor too small. I am immensely pleased with this edition and it will be a wonderful addition to my growing Easton Press library.I fold books and have found Easton Press books are not only elegant, but provide a quality I can count on so the book does not start to lean after a while. This cover is very pretty as is the color of the silk moire' on the end boards.Book is good, as described by seller.While it can be difficult to distinguish fact and legend from this book, I found I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it to any history lover. This particular copy is also very beautiful.the condition of the book exceeded my expatiations... thank youI would like to think everybody was interested in Livy but I would be mistaken to think so. This is a must read for everyone with an interest in history.Excellent great condition went straight to my collection of books.
