Trainers agree that dry fire practice is the best way to learn to shoot well. It makes the pistol a part of you. However, there is a real problem with dry fire practicing the standard way. When the trigger is activated and the firing pin is released, the shooter’s hand must be used to reset the firing pin by cycling the slide. Only then can the trigger return to its reset position. Can you stay on target while this is happening? Is this the muscle memory that you want to build? Absolutely not! This problem is solved with our DryFireMag. Now, with the DryFireMag, when you activate your trigger, you get the feel and sound of the firing pin release. With both hands still in the firing position and staying on target, you simply let the DryFireMag reset the trigger with a snap, and you are ready for your next “shot”. Now, that’s the kind of action you need to build the correct muscle memory! It has to be second nature when a real-life situation presents itself. INSTALLS IN SECONDS The DryFireMag is a magazine that uses your own gun and installs in seconds. For dry fire training, have the gun set ready to dry fire and simply insert the DryFireMag into the gun like a normal mag. The best and greatest shooters in the world often dry fire 100 or more times per live round that they shoot. The DryFireMag resets the trigger without having to cycle or rack the slide so you can practice double taps, drills, and realistic multiple shots. Save money on ammo and expensive range frees while still getting the realistic feel and sound of shooting practice. FITS GLOCK PISTOLS The DryFireMag G10 will fit .45 caliber and 10mm Glock* pistols (except GAP models) that use a double stack magazine. Not compatible with single stack pistols. The trigger weight is set for factory Glock 5.5 – 6lb. There is a Spring Pak available for adjusting the trigger pull weight from 3.25 to 10lb plus. I practice in many ways to ensure My skills as a Glock shooter are maintained but also improve. Before all is done, we obviously have to clear the weapon.Installation involves pulling back on the slide, inserting the magazine and dry firing. There is a Tactile click which simulates the action of the striker. However, it is not exactly the same feel. It is close enough, though, to simulate the action of the pistol. This is specific to my Glock 30 Pistol. It will not work for a 9mm or 40 S&W Glock. The magazine has an internal spring that reproduces the function of the Glock operation. The weight is much lighter than an actual loaded magazine. That is one pitfall. There are interchangeable springs that give the user different levels of resistance.Overall, the advantage of the system is allowing the user to practice trigger control without the danger of using a real magazine and having an accidental discharge. One of the key tenets of dry firing is to do it in a room that does not have a gun with live ammunition.I use this a few times a week. It is essential to maintain the proper trigger control for marksmanship.I bought this to use it with a MantisX training system mounted on my G21SF. I didn't see anyone else talk about experience with this and the Mantis. In theory it would be great, no more racking the slide every time in drills. However the little "click" in the DryFireMag just doesn't create a strong enough vibration for the Mantis to sense like it does when the firing pin falls and produces a MUCH stronger result. As feedback to the DryFireMag folks, if you could find a way to have a stronger action of some sort at the trigger break it would be fantastic.None of this is the fault of either product. Both products do what they're designed to do and live up to their promises. They just don't work together. I thought I'd share this so others would see it if you're thinking of using it this way like I was.Overall I'd give the DryFireMag 5 stars because it does what it says it does but taking off a 1 star because price is IMO very steep for what it is.All that said I'm keeping it. I think I'll continue to have a use for it.I showed him a video I saw on Facebook of a guy using one of these and he immediately found one to buy and it has not been removed from the gun since. LOLHe's actually learned a few things about his shooting preferences, for example he is right-handed and can use his left pretty well but he's never shot a gun with his left. Now, he is practicing all the time and says that it's easier to shoot with his left. We chalk it up to his 20 years of playing baseball because his hand span is wider on his left than right. Gun feels more comfortable in his left. So, any doubt on wanting to buy one of these, don't! Just buy it!!Works great for dry fire trigger control exercises and for warning up at the range. This is a neat product that does what it promises. You can continuously pull the trigger without racking the slide, which is very convenient when dry-firing. Unfortunately it doesn't work with the Mantis practice system. I just can't give 5 stars because a price tag of over a hundred dollars is way too high.I have an identical gun to my carry gun, but with a resetting trigger and laser cartridge for dry fire practice at the house, but I end up using this dry fire magazine just as much. I keep it in the glove box of my truck, so I can get some dry fire in before live fire practice at the range, or on my lunch break at work (following all safety rules, of course), or anywhere else an opportunity arises. I have at least doubled the amount of dry fire I do as a result, and it shows in my shooting. I highly suggest getting the magazine with the replaceable springs included. It is just a few bucks more, and tuning the magazine to more closely match your carry trigger weight is well worth it.Fits my Glock 30 without any problem. Doesn’t feel exactly like the regular trigger, but it’s the cheapest option I found for the type of dry fire training I want to do.Like it but but a pice of one of the 3d printed sides broke off
