Which young man has not has his father read "IF"to him, as an early lesson. Perhaps, somone was not fortunateenough to have a father or maybe he was lost in a War. Yet. I hope through school or friends he was introduced to Rudyard Kipling. I know my father was reportedmissing in 1942. It was months before we learned he was saved by the French and finally returned to England. I still remember his coming to the nursery, and reading the Jungle Book. Now I have grand godchildren and know they are as thrilled with Mowgli,Bagheeera. Akela as I was. There is also "Wee WIllie Winkie", Puck, and of course Kipling's own reflections"Something of Myself".Kipling is as wonderful to read in,2012, as he was 1912 and imagine will be just as popular for readers in the years to follow.Richard HarlN
