The hardware is fine for the price, but the 3 months of free audible put me over the edge to purchase this, only to find out that it is only available to new members. Nowhere on the main deal page does it say that, only on "read more" page. I feel this was deceptive and, although I probably should have read the fine print, I am not pleased.It's in the Terms and Conditions, but should be prominently displayed on the product detail page: "Offer available only to new customers of Audible.com who purchase a Kindle Paperwhite."We should be able to trust Amazon to not go through our pockets every time we neglect to drill down through separate pages to read Terms and Conditions that affect such a significant portion of buyers that they should have been placed front-and-center and inline in the purchase path. Many can see that it's a deliberate obfuscation designed to generate additional sales from existing members who inadvertently make the purchase based on the assumption that the offer, as stated on the product detail listing page, applies to all buyers.Amazon owes its existence to the fact that most people want a streamlined, simplified online shopping experience and have come to view Amazon as working to serve them in a trustworthy fashion. This particular offer runs counter to that concept. If all sales are going to require such diligence then I no longer see the benefit of shopping on Amazon and will spend the time and tedium required of reading Terms and Conditions of every Amazon offering, to search out other vendors, away from Amazon, who lay their purchase details out on the table.So Amazon puts up a pretty great deal just in time for Christmas. A Kindle Paperwhite, Headphones, and 3 months of Audible. So I buy it to give as a gift because why wouldn't I? I didn't receive the Audible code as I expected to, so I contacted Amazon's customer service. After being in a chat with them for 30+ minutes and many, MANY transfers, several times to the same people I had already spoken to, the most I managed to get was them telling me I can't gift the audible membership, which it says no where here, and then giving me a ticket number and saying they gave my case to their specialist team.Dec 18 2018 update: Got an email back from the "specialist" team. Said the exact same thing as the chat people. Not very good "specialist". Returning both products of course.Our relationship has had a lot of ups and downs this year and we broke up three months ago when I cancelled my Prime. I felt like I had found a lost piece of myself again as I found myself free to flirt with local business. Even so, I was thinking about reinitiating the Prime once more, because I thought that maybe it would pay off by saving on kindle books or something. Nah.. thats just more of the same old manipulative and apathetic relationship that we shared for so long. Much better off without you.The bundle was a good offer and audible part was a major part of the decision to purchase the bundle. Then they have a bunch of fine print. I called the customer service and they told me the deal ended 12/24! I reviewed the fine print and it said it had to be redeemed by 12/31. I was on the chat for over 30 minutes and unless I prompted the specialist they wouldn't respond. I could see her typing and then nothing. They just kept asking for more time and for me to wait a minute. I have never had customer service this bad.So, I like the new Kindle. I find the headphone serviceable, and I really feel the 3 months Audible offer was a brilliant con on part of Amazon. I will not be renewing my Prime membership, thanks a lot!Disappointed like others that I cannot access the 3 month trial. Not the deal it was advertised as.Nice headphones. Good value for the bundle
